In 2005 the school won the "Better Behaviour" Award in the Scottish Education Awards for identifying and tackling increasing indiscipline by involving senior pupils,[1] and also captured the Award for Multicultural Education from the University of Aberdeen's Al-Maktoum Institute.[2] Scotland's Evening Times ranked the Eastwood High School seventh in West Scotland in its 2009 rankings.[3]
Eastwood High was last inspected in December 2006, and gained a largely favourable report from HMIE. Only three major points for action were identified.[4]
